UK General’s Chief Executive Officer, Karen Beales announces we will be launching our first personal lines product on a software house and we’re currently exploring our options for direct distribution.
Speaking to the insurance post in a recent article Karen said: “We are developing a product to go on Open GI. We have never been on a software house in this area before but we hope to have a buildings and contents product going live in August. We felt Open GI’s broker base was most suited to the household product we are looking at and we also had an existing relationship through a member of staff who used to work there.”
Th product will be on trial to a select few brokers and will eventually be rolled out to other software houses over time. Karen also announced: “As part of new distribution channels we are also going to look at business to consumer. With this in mind we have recruited Craig Duwell on a 12-month contract to conduct a B2C feasibility study.”
