UK General volunteer with their chosen charity for the year, St. Georges Crypt, aiming to help raise money and support the Leeds based charity.

Last week the UK General team went to volunteer at our chosen charity for the year, St. Georges Crypt. The Crypt is a charity based in the city centre of Leeds, working with the homeless, the vulnerable and those suffering from addiction. They offer support to clients providing food, a bed to sleep in and clothes. Beyond this, they also look at practical ways they can support their clients through life skills, education skills and counselling.

The team were able to spend the day volunteering at the centre and observing how the crypt serves the homeless and needy every day. The team prepped and served lunch to the clients, made beds and sorted through food donations.

Over the next year, we hope to raise money and provide more support to help equip the great work they are doing in and around Leeds. We are also running the Leeds fun run on 21st July at Roundhay Park, to help raise money for the Crypt.
